The Assessment Specialist is responsible for facilitating the full lifecycle of assessment development including the design, validation, and implementation of testing methodologies. This role focuses on the technical aspects of exam creation, validation, and administration, and serves as the expert on employment testing and related litigation cases. The position is intended for an individual contributor who will apply expertise in Industrial/Organizational Psychology to independently lead all aspects of the assessment process. Conducts test validation studies (content, criterion, and construct) to determine appropriate selection methodology in accordance with the Uniform Guidelines on Employee Selection Procedures.
Develops, revises, and administers selection criteria for job classifications, including the creation of written exams, performance exams, structured interviews, training and experience evaluations, etc.
Provides expert statistical analysis and support for litigation or grievances related to testing.
Prepares and maintains technical and statistical records and reports related to assigned activities.
Computes and interprets item analyses, correlation matrices, measures of dispersion and error, and other statistical techniques related to test validation and administration.
Serves as the subject matter expert in employment testing and provides expert testimony in related litigation cases.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Education:

A Bachelor’s degree in HR, business or related field; a Master’s degree in industrial/organizational psychology is strongly preferred
AND

Experience:

Three (3) years of experience in employment testing and selection methodologies
OR
An equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience.

License/Certifications/Registration:

A valid driver’s license is required prior to appointment & must be maintained during employment in this classification. The salary range for this position is $64,890 – $89,827 annually. Total compensation is commensurate with education, licenses, certifications, skills, and experience.
