Exempt Essential Functions:
Support the mission and vision of Greenwood School Facilitate the professional development of our teachers with a focus on guiding student achievement. Create positive relationships with teachers and administrators. Communicate and demonstrate researched-based instructional practices that result in increased student performance. React to change productively and handle other tasks as assigned. Provide individualized, classroom-based coaching with participants to support them in implementing good instructional practices.
General Responsibilities:
Show a proactive approach in taking on leadership roles. Offer structured individual or group learning sessions for educators as needed. Support the analysis of student assessment results. Help educators design instructional strategies based on assessment data upon request. Provide assistance with specific classroom activities when needed. Offer support for strategies related to classroom motivation and management. Help teachers develop materials aligned with the curriculum. Supply instructional and curriculum-related resources to teachers. Assist with research on instructional or curriculum-related topics. Demonstrate effective, differentiated instruction when requested. Offer encouragement and emotional support to teachers. Promote continuous professional development for all educators. Organize time and manage flexibility in a way that optimizes teacher schedules and student learning. Work collaboratively to achieve district and school improvement objectives. Contribute to the development of district-wide curriculum, instructional strategies, and assessments. Build and maintain a confidential, supportive relationship with educators. Understand when to involve administrators regarding safety or ethical concerns related to students in the classroom. Carry out duties as assigned by the Head of School and Dean of Students. Engage fully in professional development activities for coaches, including peer observations, research, reading, and inquiry sessions. Help teachers ensure their teaching aligns with appropriate standards, curriculum, and assessments. Collaborate effectively with others.
