ESOL Coordinator SLAM Palm Beach Charter 2845 Summit Boulevard, West Palm Beach, FL 33406 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and organized ESOL Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the ELL educational programs and initiatives within our charter school environment. This position requires strong communication skills, classroom management experience, and a passion for working with students. The Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing various aspects of curriculum development, lesson planning, and the implementation of learning technologies. Duties Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement effective curriculum plans that align with educational standards. Manage classroom activities and ensure a positive learning environment for all students. Assist in the administration of standardized testing and analyze results to improve student performance. Utilize Learning Management Systems (LMS) to track student progress and facilitate online learning opportunities. Provide tutoring support to students who require additional assistance in their studies. Organize training sessions for staff on the integration of learning technology into the classroom. Maintain accurate records of student performance and program effectiveness. Communicate regularly with parents, teachers, and administration regarding student progress and program updates. Qualifications Familiarity with standardized testing procedures and best practices. Experience working with students of various age groups and learning abilities. Knowledge of curriculum development processes and educational best practices. Proficiency in utilizing Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other educational technologies. A background in ELL or providing academic support and in student accommodations. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
