Full Job Description Job Summary:
Reporting to the CEO, the Membership Specialist plays a key role in member satisfaction and retention by providing exceptional service and supporting account needs. This role involves an in-depth understanding of association programs and services, ensuring members receive timely assistance and guidance to make the most of their membership.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Provides high-quality customer service, addressing member inquiries and resolving issues promptly. Greet and assists members professionally, building strong relationships. Manages phone calls and inquiries related to accounts, Supra lock boxes, eKeys, and Stellar MLS. Processes new member applications and maintains accurate member records. Manages annual membership renewals, ensuring a smooth and timely process for all members. Proactively identifies opportunities to improve processes and member experience. Recommend association programs, services, and events based on member needs and interests. Oversee professional development course logistics, including classroom setup, materials preparation, and attendance tracking. Monitor classes and handle course reminders, no-show follow-up, and billing as needed. Engages members through outreach to support retention. Maintains knowledge of association offerings, policies, and procedures. Assist the CEO in negotiating with instructors, scheduling courses, and aligning educational offerings with member needs. Maintain educational records and recognize graduates of professional programs, ensuring appropriate acknowledgment and documentation. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED; (0-2 years) customer service experience preferred. Strong computer skills with the ability to quickly learn an Association Management System (AMS). Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365. Excellent communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills. Shows initiative to improve processes and enhance member experience. Organized, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
