We are seeking a Training and Instructional Design Facilitator to support the mission of Florida’s Institute for Professional Development for Adult Educators (IPDAE). In this dynamic role, you’ll coordinate statewide professional development and help create and share innovative resources for adult educators across Florida. JOB SUMMARY

Under administrative supervision, this position supervises the IPDAE training facilitators and oversees the planning and implementation of resource development and coordination.

Duties include:

representing and promoting IPDAE through trainings and presentations at the local and state level; coordinating events throughout all 67 counties in Florida to ensure equal access and equal support in successfully using these innovative instructional strategies and resources; facilitating direct interaction and providing technical support to adult educators via emails, calls, help desk inquiries, and virtual learning communities; training and supervising IPDAE training facilitators; and supporting the daily operations and interactions of

IPDAE. SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Coordinates with others to ensure the mission and goals of IPDAE are met; represents and promotes IPDAE through trainings and presentations at the local and state level. Assists in the development and implementation of professional development strategies and resources throughout the state of Florida as a member of IPDAE’s core team; collaborates with administrators and subject matter experts in the development of resources and training materials; plans, schedules, and coordinates state-wide trainings; trains adult education teachers and practitioners as well as present at state conferences; and tracks/reports training participation and feedback as well as provide technical feedback on use of resources and website. Trains and supervises IPDAE training facilitators to ensure that they are correctly disseminating learning resources and training, while working effectively with adult educators and administrators. Oversees the planning and implementation of resource development and coordination; develops, maintains, and facilitates customer relations and support; plans, coordinates, and facilitates the organizing of special events; and facilitates the development and dissemination of materials such as brochures, newsletters, and website updates. Communicates and collaborates with project developers and partnering organizations/ institutions; coordinates the activities of the Subject Matter Experts (SME) at all host sites to ensure consistency of resource and training delivery; coordinates and facilitates scheduled meetings with partners and agencies for the Director of IPDAE; and collaborates with the writing of grants. Tracks, manages, and reports monthly expenditures of IPDAE budget including customization of contracts, purchasing, procurement, and budgeting; manages and ensures all trainers and contracts are paid and the work is collected, reviewed, and vetted for adherence to compliance protocol. Researches, writes, organizes, and maintains documents; completes forms and compiles supporting documentation for quarterly reporting to the FDOE. Represents Director in his/her absence. Supports the daily operations and interactions of IPDAE by responding to inquiries and requests for information and similar office duties. Works a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends. Frequent travel throughout the State to conduct workshops, trainings and meetings. Completes all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree; four (4) years of related work experience in project development, coordination, management, and instructional design; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Knowledge of researching, designing, and developing surveys and evaluations. Skill in planning, organizing, scheduling, researching, report writing, making decisions, training others, coordinating with others, time management, and prioritizing. Skill in developing and delivering presentations. Skill in delivering customer service. Skill in working with Microsoft Office and Windows based applications including computer application tools, LMS, and database applications. Ability to be accurate and detailed oriented, be a self-starter, listen, be self-motivated, be flexible; be diplomatic, maintain confidentiality, use sound judgment, and work independently as well as with others.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This position classifies the physical exertion requirements as sedentary work involving lifting no more than 10 pounds at a time and occasionally lifting or carrying articles like docket files, ledgers, and small tools. Although a sedentary job is defined as one which involves sitting, a certain amount of walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required occasionally, and other sedentary criteria are met.
