Position Description The Coaching Education Senior Coordinator is responsible for supporting the technical objectives and administrative aspects of the U.S. Soccer Coaching Education Program. The position is administrative but does require a strong understanding of soccer and a familiarity with coaching. In addition to the administrative duties listed, the position will also provide support to the department’s technical staff, as needed. To perform the primary duties and functions, this position requires someone highly organized and detail-oriented. The individual is expected to proactively contribute across multiple areas of the department. This position is responsible for exhibiting a high degree of professionalism, maintaining a customer service mentality, and communicating consistently and transparently with U.S. Soccer’s membership. Primary Responsibilities
Responsible for overseeing key department operations Create and maintain positive working relationships with U.S. Soccer members by providing training, support, and service
Provide customer service support to coaches, educators, and administrators Plan and execute educational activities Maintain course curricula and educational resources Support the department’s digital assets Additional duties as assigned Requirements Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related discipline 2 to 3 years of prior experience working in the sports industry, non-profit, or national governing body
Strong familiarity with U.S. Soccer programming; Comprehension of Coach Education is a plus Must have a passion for the sport Strong interpersonal, consensus-building skills, with the ability to communicate and achieve results across multiple audiences in a complex organizational structure
Capable of working in fast-paced and demanding environments
Adept at building presentations to communicate ideas, e.g., Keynote, PowerPoint, InDesign
Outstanding organizational, planning, and time management skills
Must be a team player
Dedication to the highest level of standards and excellence
Able to work independently
Must be able to connect “micro” details to the “macro” vision and mission Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and Adobe programs
Weekend and holiday work required
Some travel may be required
