We are excited to bring Discovery education to the Baton Rouge area through our second corporate partnership with Ochsner Health. The school opened for the 2023-24 school year, starting with grades PreK4 – 4th and will eventually educate students in grades PreK – 8th at full capacity. Middle School Educational Technology Coordinator Baton Rouge Ochsner Discovery seeks a Middle School Educational Technology Coordinator for our expanding school. An ideal candidate will have 5+ years of classroom teaching experience, hold a valid Louisiana teaching license, have a Master’s Degree in Educational Technology, Educational Leadership, or Curriculum and Instruction. The Ed Tech Coordinator will be responsible for supporting classroom teachers by assisting with the integration of technology and educational technology platforms to enhance our existing curriculum. A wide range of collaboration across grade level teams, divisions, leadership teams, and support staff is an essential function of this position. Deep knowledge of computer software applications, Google Apps for Education, Google Education Suite, and high-quality educational learning platforms is required. Knowledge of ISTE Student Standards is a plus. The Ed Tech Coordinator will be responsible for providing staff training, professional development sessions, and continuous support to classroom teachers around instructional technology best practices. Strong verbal and written communication skills, adaptability, and innovative thinking are essential skills for this role. An ideal candidate will be solution oriented, have strong interpersonal skills, and be a valued member of any team collaboration.
