Advise parents and provide information regarding special education and related service provisions. Collaborate with Title 1 Teachers and EL Teachers to ensure special services cohesion and fidelity. Serve as a consultant to teachers in matters of classroom management, teaching methods, and general school procedures. Attend all IEP meetings. Supervise education delivery services to include monitoring the implementation of all IEP services. Secure and monitor contract personnel as needed for the provision of psychological services, speech therapy services, occupational therapy, physical therapy and related services. Coordinate schedules and information sharing. Review and revise policies and procedures for the implementation of individual accommodations, modifications, and interventions for monitoring special education and related services. Support student testing and ensure necessary accommodations are implemented. Ensure faculty and staff are well versed in all requirements to implement student IEP and 504 Plans. Support teachers in the intervention process by being a resource to provide research-based academic and social intervention information. In conjunction with the Dean, support student behavior plans, ensure consistent follow-through, collaborate to problem solve student transitions, behavioral concerns and social anxieties, and coordinate classroom meetings.
