- Master’s Degree in Instructional or Educational Design/Technology or a related field. Experience
- Three (3) years experience in the following areas: instructional design, learning theory, course/program evaluation, emerging educational technologies, faculty/staff training, instruction using varied modalities, preferably in a higher education setting. Skills
- Demonstrated skills in curriculum design, development, and evaluation.
Ability to incorporate best practices in learning theory, backward design, Universal Design for Learning, and quality course review. Demonstrated skills in designing assessment/evaluation processes and tools. Ability to develop and deliver needs-based training to faculty and students. Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on industry trends and emerging educational technologies. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with and support a wide variety of user knowledge. Proficiency in applying WCAG accessibility guidelines as it pertains to digital learning platforms.
Position Responsibilities:
Assist faculty in developing or redeveloping courses for new and/or existing programs based on appropriate pedagogy, andragogy, and heutagogy that support all instructional modalities. Facilitate course quality review process, incorporating knowledge of industry-leading quality course review standards such as those in the Open

Quality Scorecard, Quality Matters Rubric, Blackboard Exemplary Course Rubric, or similar. Assist faculty in developing alternative assessments, evaluation tools, rubrics, and other artifacts that enhance learning and prepare students for the workforce. Collaborate with faculty and IT department personnel to incorporate educational technologies that support and improve teaching and learning, including AI-enabled products. Develop and deliver faculty and student training/workshops, and related training resources, that are designed to promote excellence in instruction and the student learning experience. Assess the effectiveness of course designs and modalities utilizing a variety of institutional data to evaluate effectiveness in improving student learning outcomes. Assist faculty and students in troubleshooting course level content and assessment issues Knowledge of Microsoft software including Microsoft Office preferred Knowledge of media applications including Adobe CC products preferred
