• Collaborate with the administration in the development of long-range professional development plans for the specific content areas
• Keep abreast of new developments in curriculum, evaluation, and school management through readings, conferences, and other means of gathering training and knowledge; disseminate information to members of the leadership, instructional and support staffs regularly including conducting staff development seminars and lessons for the benefit of the district and its employees as a way to further improve student achievement•Plan for and provide professional development during the school year with Assistant Superintendent, teachers, and/or building principals•Review and coordinate curricula of assigned departments to ensure that they are current and adhere to the standards of the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education as well as academic initiatives•Attend all meetings, district-level curriculum meetings, and/or building-based meetings requested•This position will meet regularly on K-12 curriculum decisions, including mapping, common assessments, and instructional practices.
• These meetings will include any district curriculum leaders (middle school curriculum coordinators and high school department heads)
• This role will require work outside the contracted teacher workday/year
• Work in partnership with the administration to ensure that teachers have adequate training, equipment, and curricular opportunities to meet the needs of students.

Any other relative duties as required.

The stipend for this position is based on the current NMRSDTA Contract stipends. This position can be split by two individuals who will share the responsibilities/stipend.
