Job Description
Instructional Technology Specialist supports administration, staff, and students by fostering the effective integration of technology into teaching and learning. This role is vital in ensuring that the school maintains its commitment to innovation and excellence in education by leveraging current and emerging technologies.
Collaborate with teachers/directors to develop technology-enhanced lessons that align with curriculum goals.
Provide coaching and professional development to staff on the effective use of instructional technologies.
Ensure proficient use and support for ParentSquare for communication and family engagement.
Manage and troubleshoot GSuite applications for efficient educational and administrative use.
Research, evaluate, and implement emerging technologies to enhance instructional practices.
Develop and recommend best practices for integrating new tools and platforms into the classroom.
Design and deliver workshops, tutorials, and one-on-one coaching sessions to improve technology proficiency among staff.
Stay current with industry trends and conduct ongoing training to align with evolving technological advancements.
Partner with district technology teams to ensure alignment with district-wide technology initiatives.
Act as a resource for students and families, providing guidance on digital literacy and safe technology practices.
Troubleshoot and resolve minor technical challenges encountered by staff and students.
Required Skills and Experience:
Demonstrated proficiency with ParentSquare, Aspen, GSuite, and other educational technology platforms.
Proven experience delivering professional development to educators.
Familiarity with state and federal regulations related to student data privacy and online safety.
Master’s degree in Education, Instructional Technology, or a related field
