Job Description

Instructional Technology Teacher 3.9 3.9 out of 5 stars 808 East Street, Walpole, MA 02081 The Instructional Technology Specialist at BSS will be responsible for designing and delivering technology-integrated instruction for students in kindergarten through grade eight. This position supports student learning and teacher development through the integration of AI tools, alignment with DESE (Department of Elementary and Secondary Education) standards, and close collaboration with classroom teachers.

Key Responsibilities:

Curriculum & Instruction

  • Design and deliver engaging technology lessons for students in grades K-8 that align with Massachusetts DESE standards.
  • Incorporate age-appropriate digital citizenship, coding, multimedia production, and technology fluency into instruction.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the varying needs of students across all grade levels. AI Integration
  • Integrate artificial intelligence (AI) tools and resources into student lessons to promote critical thinking and digital literacy.
  • Train and support teachers in leveraging AI technologies to enhance instructional practices and classroom efficiency.
  • Stay current with emerging AI trends in education and recommend effective applications for the school community. Collaborative Planning & Support
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to co-design technology-enhanced lessons that complement and extend classroom instruction.
  • Support interdisciplinary learning by integrating technology with core subjects such as math, ELA, science, and social studies.
  • Provide in-class support during collaborative lessons, modeling and facilitating effective tech integration. Administrative & Technical
  • Maintain and manage instructional technology tools, software, and digital platforms used by students and staff.
  • Evaluate and recommend educational technology resources and tools for classroom and instructional use.
  • Support compliance with privacy, safety, and ethical standards related to technology use.

Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards Utilize learning technology to enhance instructional delivery and student engagement. Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary curriculum initiatives. Ability to work collaboratively with other educators and staff members. Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with educational best practices.
