What We Do:

TinyIvy is a mission-driven literacy company committed to making reading a guaranteed skill, not a gamble. Our patented TIPS system is grounded in the Science of Reading and has helped thousands of early readers make rapid, measurable progress. Now, we’re bringing that same clarity and impact to adult learners. Through our RISE (Reintegration, Instruction, Support, Empowerment) program, we provide incarcerated adults with a structured literacy path that integrates reading instruction, mental health support, and life skills. RISE is built around a five-phase roadmap that moves learners from foundational reading to GED readiness and reentry success—because literacy is the foundation of freedom, dignity, and opportunity.

TinyIvy is transforming literacy for incarcerated adults. We’re looking for a skilled curriculum developer to adapt our early literacy program (TIPS) into a trauma-informed, adult-centered curriculum grounded in the Science of Reading.

Who You Are:

This is not a content curation, facilitator or team leadership role— we’re looking for a builder . Someone who has written and designed standards-aligned curriculum from the ground up. You’ll be working independently, collaborating with subject matter experts for feedback, and revising based on that input.

What You’ll Do:

Adapt early phonics-based content into adult-appropriate curriculum Develop both self-led LMS lessons and instructor-led lessons Write decodable texts, lessons, activities, and assessments for adult learners Align all content to College and Career Readiness Standards (CCRS) Design for trauma-informed, culturally responsive learning Incorporate pacing, instructional best practices, and a GED-readiness path Must-Have Experience Created literacy curriculum for learners in grades 6-12+ Deep knowledge of the Science of Reading Understanding of adult learning theory and literacy equity Comfortable working independently and revising based on SME feedback Experience with LMS platforms and digital curriculum formatting Bonus Points If You Have Experience in correctional or reentry education Trauma-informed instructional design background Interview Process We respect your time and want to be transparent about what to expect: Round 1 – Screening Interview (30-45 min) An initial conversation to learn more about your experience and share details about the project. Round 2 – Team Interview (45-60 min) A deeper discussion with members of our curriculum and implementation teams to explore alignment and expectations. Candidate Exercise – TIPS® Adaptation Task If you move forward, you’ll be asked to complete a short curriculum task to demonstrate your ability to adapt content using our system. This will be reviewed by our Subject Matter Experts. Exercise should take ~2-3 hours. Round 3 – Final Interview (45 min) If your sample is approved, you’ll meet with the full team for a final conversation focused on working style, collaboration, and mission alignment. Final Decision We’ll notify all candidates of our decision shortly after final interviews. We’re committed to building a diverse, inclusive team and welcome applicants of all backgrounds, identities, and experiences. If you believe in the power of literacy to change lives, we encourage you to apply.
