As a Dean ofCurriculum, you will: Contributes to curriculum development, data analysis,instructional planning, coaching, and training for instructionalstaff members. Develops and implements instructional plans within the CSUSAframework to best fit school needs. Promotes the implementation of CSUSA’s Education Model toensure personalized learning for all students. Collaborates with various stakeholders to promote the school’smission/vision. Provides instructional coaching for instructional staff. Conducts observations and delivers feedback to instructionalstaff throughout the year to build capacity of those teammembers. Provides instructional support to students and teachers, asnecessary.

ResponsibilitiesInstruction/EducationResponsibilitiesProfessional Development Topic specific in-service training as needed withindeadlines. Coaching and mentoring instructional staff. Modeling lessons and instructional planning Collaborates well in a supportive environment that fosterrelationships with leadership teams, colleagues, and otherstakeholders.

Curriculum and Instruction Research and development of curriculum resources andtrainings. Has a comprehensive knowledge of the state standards,instructional best practices, courses offered within the state, andall state assessments? Researches and identifies appropriate instructional resources,based on data, through the budget priorities process.

Data Analysis State assessment understanding; including purpose, calculationof scores, disaggregation and aggregation of data, instructionalpreparation, etc. CSUSA assessment understanding; including purpose, scores andreports, disaggregation, and aggregation of data, informedinstructional decision making, etc. Provides training on appropriate student/teacher/grade-leveldata analysis and how to drive instructional plans. Actively participates in the strategic planning process tosupport the school with developing academic plans.

Requirements Demonstrates ability to lead people and get results throughothers. Builds capacity of those around them and can conduct formal andinformal evaluations. Ability to effectively train new hires through modeling,coaching, co-supporting schools, and providing timely andmeaningful feedback. Looks for proactive ways to improve and promote quality withinthe school and demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness. Ensuresinstructional staff members are implementing best practices. Demonstrates enthusiasm and commitment toward the job and themission of the company; supports the company’s values and strategicpriorities, as outlined in the Employee Handbook. Works and interacts with staff and relates to individuals atall levels within the school. High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive andconfidential situations. Position continually requires demonstratedpoise, tact, and diplomacy. Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities/projectswhile maintaining flexibility. Must be detail oriented in multiplefacets and drive projects to completion with follow through. Computer proficient in O365 and MS Office, other technologydevices, instructional software, and knowledge of successfulimplementation of each. Delivers dynamic presentations that engage audience andparticipants. Ability to consistently be at work, adding value, arriving, anddeparting on time, to deliver clear instructions, respond to uppermanagement direction and solicit feedback to improveperformance. Ability to work with large amounts of data, to interpret data,to detect errors and prepare reports. Thinks creatively for how tobest implement instructional plans. Strong customer service and orientation. Establishes excellent interpersonal skills between allconstituents: being courteous, professional, and helpful;demonstrates high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitiveand confidential situations. Broad conceptual perspective and forward-thinking oneducational issues and their long-term impact on the school and thecompany.

Job Requirements Master’s degree in Educational Leadership or Curriculum &Instruction preferred, or equivalent combination of training andexperience. 2-5 years related experience and/or training; Commitment tocompany mission, vision, and values.

MAC proficient:

Microsoft Office (O365, SharePoint, Word,Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), other relevant platforms/softwareprograms, educational technology, and mobile communicationdevice. Such alternatives to the above requirements as the SchoolPrincipal may find appropriate and acceptable. May perform other duties as assigned.
