Summary:
The Nursing Unit Educator is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care while simultaneously fostering a positive learning environment for nursing staff. This dual role involves direct patient care as well as the development, implementation, and evaluation of educational programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the unit team.
Responsibilities:
+ Provides comprehensive and compassionate care to patients, following best practice guidelines and protocols. Direct patient care responsibilities should encompass an average of 24 hours per week/48 hours per pay period. + Develops and delivers educational initiatives, including orientation, continuing education, and competency assessments for nursing staff. + Serves as a clinical expert and resource for staff, ensuring high standards of nursing practice. + Works closely with clinical leaders and multidisciplinary teams to identify and address learning needs and improve patient outcomes. + Guides and support nursing staff in their professional development through coaching and feedback. •Other information:•
Required:
+ Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) or equivalent experience and approved education + Must be licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina or one of compact states by the day of clinical care. + Minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing experience + Relevant certifications (e.g., BLS, ACLS, PALS) and specialty national nursing certification for area as identified Preferred + Master’s degree in nursing (MSN) or education + Previous experience in nursing education •Job Details•
