Clinical Education Specialist (RN) 3.7 3.7 out of 5 stars 500 South Academy Street, Ahoskie, NC 27910 ECU Health About ECU Health Roanoke-Chowan Hospital ECU Health Roanoke-Chowan Hospital is a 114-bed community hospital located in Ahoskie. Serving four nearby counties, the 15-bed emergency department sees approximately 18,000 patients per year. ECU Health Roanoke-Chowan Hospital provides a wide range of health services, including medical, surgical and radiation oncology. In addition, the Wound Healing and Pain Management clinics serve as referral centers for neighboring ECU Health hospitals and providers. Position Summary The Clinical Education Specialist assess educational needs, plan programs to meet those needs, implement those programs, and evaluate the effectiveness of offerings for employees, students, volunteers, and other community members ranging in age from adolescents to the elderly. Minimum Requirements Current RN licensure in the state of North Carolina or temporary North Carolina licensure or meet requirements to hold RN licensure in a compact state. BSN and/or Certification in area of specialty required. Minimum of 5 years clinical experience required. Computer experience in Word, Email usage, Electronic Health Record usage, and Internet Searches required. Current American Heart Association BLS at time of hire required. American Heart Association Advanced Life support certification required at time of hire for ACLS Coordinator. American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Preferred Requirements BLS Instructor certification upon hire preferred or within first 6 months of employment. Leadership and Education experience strongly preferred.
