Job Description

Job Summary Revenue Cycle Services Instructional Designer Support the acute hospital billing team within Patient Financial Services by developing and delivering training aligned with EPIC hospital billing systems (Resolute Hospital Billing). Obtain HB certification with EPIC within the first 90 days, sponsored by Novant Health. Lead the instructional design process including conducting needs analysis, defining learning outcomes, applying adult learning theories, and developing assessments to measure skill acquisition. Design and maintain departmental workflow processes related to instructional facilitation and evaluation to ensure effective training delivery and continuous improvement. Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to enhance hospital billing proficiency and optimize revenue cycle operations. Qualifications Education:

Graduate of an accredited program with a Bachelor’s Degree in Instructional Design, Education, Continuing Education or related field, required. Master’s Degree, preferred.

Experience :

Five to ten years in instructional design. At least two years demonstrated experience with learning management systems. At least two years demonstrated experience with Adobe eLearning suite. Revenue Cycle Healthcare experience, preferred. Additional Skills required : Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing. Work with Subject Matter Experts to identify what students need to learn. D evelop learning outcomes and ensure content design supports those learning outcomes. Revise and rewrite content to shape it for identified learning needs. Create media to support learning for various delivery format. Develop assessments. Adapt instructional materials created for one format to another format. Ability to enthusiastically embrace change and act as a change agent. Ability to work with all levels of healthcare administration and staff. Effective delegation and decision-making skills. Effective analytical, problem solving and diplomacy skills. Effective coach and councilor, facilitates learning. Ability to collaborate with other departments or disciplines to achieve a desired outcome. Ability to effectively communicate (both verbal and written) ideas to staff, management and client base.
