Summary:

Under direct and indirect supervision, provides nursing support, coaching, training, and education to nursing staff in assigned region. Assists with interviewing and onboarding new nursing staff. Assist with nursing coverage plans. Helps plan, provide and ensure effective training for new nursing staff, appropriate for nursing certification. When necessary, provides nursing tasks including but not limited to: collecting vital signs, maintaining client records, performing lab tests, completing medication prior authorizations, scheduling appointments, supporting prescribers, and other administrative duties required within the facility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

Provides education, support and training to nursing staff in outpatient and enhanced services. Ensures training and supervision plans are appropriate given scope of staff nursing certification (RN, LPN, CAN, CMA, etc). Facilitates nursing staff meeting for the agency. Assist with nursing coverage plans when necessary. Assists with interviewing/screening nursing applicants when needed. Plan and provide nursing portion of onboarding for new nursing staff. Assist with medical trainings for all staff when needed. Provides indirect services such as, Tailored Care Management (TCM), care coordination, and consultation. Completes TCM Medication Reconciliations, trains other nurses to complete, and monitors compliance. Assist QI department in review/audit of client files to ensure compliance of company protocols. Participates in interdisciplinary treatment planning, case support activities, and provide crisis intervention consultation to all member of the team. Completes comprehensive nursing interventions and completes documentation timely and in compliance with all federal and state regulations to ensure appropriate care and billing. Completes prior authorizations and insurance forms, as directed sends medications to pharmacies, maintains sample/PAP/injection log following agency and CARF standards. All other duties as assigned by supervisor. Responsibilities of the Nurse Educator include, but are not limited to, the following: Facilitates nursing staff meeting for the agency. Supervisory Responsibilities:

Provide support, education and coaching to nursing team in assigned region. Provide indirect supervision to nursing staff as needed and when requested. Education and/or

Experience:

Graduation from a four-year state accredited school of nursing and one year of experience in psychiatric nursing; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Hold active certification as a Registered Nurse (RN). A minimum of 1 year supervisory experience is preferred.
