Purpose:

The MTSS/Restorative PracticesCoach will facilitate and supportthe Problem-Based Learning, Multi-Tiered Systems of Supports instructional practices,and Restorative Practices implementation. These areas includeproject development, professional development, coaching and best practices for continuous improvement. This position has two primary responsibilities: 1) Training, coaching, and implementing the MTSS framework. 2) Training, coaching, and implementationofRestorative Practices. Qualifications Must hold or be eligible for a North Carolina Professional Educator’sLicense At least 3years of successful K-12 teachingexperience Experience in planning and delivering professional developmentis beneficial Knowledge of Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) framework Knowledge of Restorative Practices Experience in engaging, building and maintaining relationships with students and staff Ability to lead and motivate staff

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Serve on the Teacher-led Design Team, the Restorative Committee, and the Individual Problem-SolvingTeam. Plan and implement appropriate experiences forteachers/teams/departments. Plan and implement professional development experiences for new and returning teachers. Collaborate with all instructional support personnel. Provide on-going coaching support in MTSS, Restorative Practices, and support instructional practices for both behavior and academics. Work with site and district leadership to communicate the goals and professional development plan. Support teachers in documenting interventions and student progress. Assist in organizing resources to provide interventions at different grade levels. Work with educational staff to identify differentiation /intervention strategies. Maintain a compilation of interventions to be used in conjunction with the MTSS process. Use data to help teachers identify and group children who need additional supports.

Help teachers develop and implement classroom-based, developmentally appropriate interventions for individual children and groups of children to enhance their acquisition of social/emotional and cognitive skills. Develop and use instructional and behavioral support tools, functional behavior assessment and behavior management plans, effectively. Work with individual students and small groupsof students to provide interventions and progress monitoring. Maintain accurate and organized records of interventions.
