Job Description

Instructional Technology Facilitator 3.8 3.8 out of 5 stars Bryson City, NC 28713 Instructional Technology Facilitator Exempt 10-month Position Starting in August 2025

REPORTS TO:

Principal PURPOSE This individual provides training and support to staff on integration of technology in all curricular areas. The employee assists with identifying, acquiring, and maintaining hardware, software, and network products. This individual also assists in the implementation of the system and building-level technology plans. As a coach this individual will work as a colleague with classroom teachers to support student learning. The coach will focus on individual and group professional development that will expand and refine the understanding about research-based on the goals and identified needs of the individual teachers.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Facilitate professional development of teachers Focus on individual and group professional development that will expand and refine the understanding about researched-based effective instruction Provide training and support to staff on integration of technology in all curricular areas, the NC Computer/Technology Skills Curriculum, the NC Technology Competencies for Educators, and administrative applications. Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of curriculum and subject matter Assist teachers by providing materials for lesson plans or projects Assist teachers in aligning lessons to common core standards Assist teachers with identifying, acquiring, and maintaining hardware, software, and network products Assist in the implementation of the system and building-level technology plans Help to integrate STEM into classrooms Manage time and schedule flexibility that maximizes teacher schedules and learning Work positively toward meeting identified district and building improvement goals Focus on MTSS implementation and support to teachers in the MTSS processes Attend workshops/conferences to learn about new innovative instructional strategies

QUALIFICATIONS NC

Teacher Licensure with area 077 ( Instructional Technology Specialist Computers) required. Salary/Employment Term 10-month exempt position Salary based on the NC State Salary Schedules
