Job Goal:
To facilitate the ongoing process of curriculum development, revision and implementation in SAU 24
Responsibilities:
Provide leadership in the area of curriculum development/revision Facilitate regular vertical team meetings for school level curriculum committees with agendas that address goals. Develop a budget for instructional materials Facilitate scheduled work sessions to align curriculum. Facilitate school-level curriculum meetings with all staff members Communicate progress at each staff meeting and submit a summary of meeting notes to building administrators Act as a liaison between SAU, vertical teams and grade-level teams Meet monthly with building administrators Collaborate with building administrators and interventionists To review student learning data To analyze interventions and their effectiveness on student learning Communicate with teachers and co-plan learning activities Collaborate with Professional Development Committee members and administrators to organize professional development activities that will support this subject area Organize and facilitate at least one afternoon or evening activity for students in the curriculum area Reports to: Building Administrators Responsibilities of SAU-Wide Curriculum Committee (when applicable): Provide opportunities for professional staff members to share instructional strategies Recommend professional development activities Maintain a current curriculum guide Review and evaluate student assessment data and recommend revisions to the curriculum based on student performance Research, evaluate and recommend new instructional materials, methods and programs for adoption Support best practices with research and share effective practices as supported by the data Study long-term impact of initiatives and interventions
