Special Education Coordinator 3.1 3.1 out of 5 stars Allenstown, NH 03275 Overview The Allenstown School District is looking for a certified special education administrator to join the administrative team. This position is responsible for students Pre-K – age 22 (grades 9-12 attend Pembroke Academy). Job responsibilities include; LEA for all pre-k- grade 12 meetings, supervision and evaluation of K-8 special education staff, coordinate contracted services and outside agency services, oversee evaluation and progress monitoring for special education students, maintain paraprofessional schedules, oversee department budget and ordering, assist with court involved students and out of district students (in tandem with the SAU #53 out of district coordinator), and be an active participant in administrative, building, and SAU #53 committees, professional development, meetings, and student response. The salary range is $70,000.00 – $85,000.00 plus benefits. Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs. Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to ensure effective delivery of special education services. Provide leadership and guidance in the administration of special education programs within the school or district. Manage administrative tasks related to special education, including documentation and compliance reporting. Assist in recruiting qualified staff for special education roles and provide training as needed. Help develop and manage budgets related to special education programs. Qualifications NH Special Education Administrator certification required. Excellent administrative skills including organization, communication, and problem-solving abilities. Familiarity with budgeting processes and grant proposal writing is advantageous. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups including educators, parents, and community organizations.
