The College offers students 69 Degree Program Options and 35 Credit Certificates from which to choose. The Education Specialist for VIP (Very Important People) reports to the Director of VIP. She/he is primarily responsible with coordinating the academic & cultural enrichment services for the VIP students. The Education Specialist II is responsible for providing direct educational support services and making academic assessment to VIP students. S/he is responsible to assist in completing academic reports and assisting with the planning, recruiting, implementation, and evaluation of the educational and community service projects with students participating in the VIP program. S/he is also responsible for assisting with coordinating academic/community service programs and leadership activities for VIP.

Facilitating small group discussions, lecturing, demonstrating, and using audiovisual aids and other materials to supplement presentations. Provide academic, social, and recreational advisement to promote a more enriching academic experience. Prepares individual personal and academic objectives for assigned participants and outline for course of study following curriculum guidelines or requirements Develops curriculum and manages classroom activities Assists students with computer-assisted instructions Maintains attendance records
Other duties as assigned
Education:
Bachelor’s degree required from an accredited institution.
Experience:
One years of related experience required
Experience in completing reports required
Proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint required
Previous experience in working with first generation low-income students and with a population that is highly diverse in its ethnic, cultural, and economic characteristics preferred.
Hours of Work:
