1001) A minimum of a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college/university Required criminal history background check Three years of teaching experience preferred Experience with providing professional development for adult learners preferred Demonstrated ability to communicate and work effectively with students, parents, staff and community groups and organizations Strong understanding of technology integration and quality instruction Self-motivated and willing to develop expertise and skills in new technologies Experience with a variety of educational technology tools

JOB GOAL
To inspire students through innovative, technology-infused STEAM instruction, developing their creativity, critical thinking, and practical skills. This role manages the STEAM lab, enriches the curriculum, and supports teachers through coaching, professional development, and collaboration, ensuring the entire school community thrives in an evolving digital world.
STEAM TEACHER RESPONSIBILITIES
Deliver innovative, hands-on STEAM instruction in a dynamic learning environment. Develop and update the district’s STEAM curriculum to align with NJSLS Computer Science & Design Thinking standards. Manage STEAM lab materials, resources, and scheduling. Integrate 21st-century skills and career readiness through experiential, real-world learning tasks. Leverage technology platforms to enhance student engagement, collaboration, and creativity. Foster inquiry-based learning and problem-solving through interactive activities. Stay current on STEAM practices by attending relevant professional development. Plan and coordinate STEAM-related events and activities. Adhere to district expectations for elementary educators. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Principal or Superintendent.
TECHNOLOGY COACHING RESPONSIBILITIES
Support staff in integrating technology into instruction through co-teaching, modeling, feedback, and planning. Promote awareness and enthusiasm for digital tools and instructional technology. Model strategies that support differentiation and personalized learning. Offer tailored professional development aligned with teacher needs and goals. Build strong, trust-based relationships with faculty through ongoing support. Help assess technology skills and use data to guide staff development plans. Maintain visibility and accessibility as an in-building tech resource. Collaborate with the district technology coordinator to align efforts. Stay informed on emerging tech trends and best instructional practices. Provide recommendations for technology purchases based on school needs and staff input. Experience with or knowledge of Google Admin Console and Active Directory. (preferred)
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Salary and work year to be based upon negotiated agreement between the MHTA and the Board of Education.
EVALUATION
Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with state law and provisions of the board’s policy on evaluation of certified staff.
