$40/hour | 160 instructional hours per cohort | $6,400 per cohort (paid in two installments)About the

Are you a skilled carpentry professional who’s passionate about youth mentorship and workforce development? Xiente is hiring Carpentry Instructors for our Youth Workforce Pathways•
HBI-PACT
Pre-Apprenticeship program. This nationally recognized curriculum equips youth with hands-on carpentry training, workplace readiness, and a pathway to careers in the skilled trades. As an instructor, you’ll serve as both a trainer and mentor empowering the next generation of tradespeople and helping build futures through skill, confidence, and discipline.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead hands-on and classroom instruction using the
HBI-PACT
curriculum
- Teach basic and intermediate carpentry skills with a focus on safety
- Support youth development through encouragement, structure, and accountability
- Create an inclusive and respectful learning environment
- Track student progress toward
HBI-PACT
certification
Program Schedule:
Each cohort includes 160 instructional hours.
Projected upcoming cohorts:
- Cohort 1: Early July
- Mid/Late September 2025
- Cohort 2: Late September/Early October
- Mid December 2025
- Cohort 3: Early January
- Mid March 2026
Who We’re Looking For:
- Hands-on carpentry experience required; formal certification is a plus
- Passion for mentoring youth
- -especially those from diverse backgrounds
- Experience supervising crews or training others, even informally
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- No prior teaching experience required
- -we’ll support you
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required
- Familiarity with pre-apprenticeship or workforce programs is helpful but not required
