Summary of Main Duties :
Under the supervision of the Early Head Start Director, oversees and directs the planning, organizing and implementation of educational services for all enrolled families and children. Ensures that all Federal Requirements of the EHS program are met and documented. This position is responsible for curriculum training and implementation, and for oversight of the planning and implementation of curriculum in socialization groups. These services contribute to the increased social competence in children and the recognition and enhancement of parents as the primary educators of their children. This position ensures that children who are not yet meeting their milestones are referred, assessed and enrolled in the services qualified under Part C and maintains all data entry associated with the disabilities component of the Early Head Start (EHS) program and transition process.
Requirements:
Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred. Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education required; RI Early Childhood Education Certificate preferred. Two years experience in an early childhood education settings; supervisory experience preferred.
