EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Reviews reports and data to evaluate the effectiveness of Department Opioid Awareness programsDevelops working relationships with community groups and acts as a liaison between the department and other Drug Treatment and Education groups to further the department’s missionGives presentations and lectures regarding Opioid addiction and the Opioid crisis within the country, state, and communityDesigns pamphlets, flyers, and posters to be dispersed and displayed throughout the community to raise opioid awarenessOrganizes and maintains a filing system; performs general administrative duties as assigned and needed for annual documentation for positionResearches and maintains awareness of current drugs used and trends in opioid addictionInspects, maintains, and cleans assigned uniform, vehicle, and assigned equipment; maintains personal hygiene in accordance with departmental policy and proceduresParticipates in scheduled and unscheduled training as requiredDevelops and maintains cooperative relationships with other City departments, outside vendors, and the general public contacted in the course of workOther ResponsibilitiesPrepares periodic reports for management, as necessary or requested, to track strategic goal accomplishments and to provide evaluations of work performedManage special projects and conduct researchParticipates in organizational meetingsDevelops content and skill expertise by attending meetings and seminars germane to the position and the base of knowledge required for the jobOther substantive tasks may be assigned based on demonstrated abilitiesPerforms public relations activities; speaks to students, civic groups, and other community organizations regarding drug awareness; gives tours of facilitiesAssists other emergency response agencies as needed
