The college has transitioned to a permanent four-day work-week schedule, effective June 2, 2025. The college operating hours (open to the public) are Monday-Thursday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM. Employees are offered one flexible work schedule option. All schedules consist of three full days and one shorter day, which totals 37.5 hours per week.

Job Responsibilities
Strengthening Community Colleges Consortium Grant (SCC3) Curriculum Coordinator Serves as the Strengthening Community Colleges (SCC3) Curriculum Coordinator for Northeastern Technical College (NETC), Denmark Technical College (DTC), and Williamsburg Technical College (WTC). Collaborates with faculty, staff, administration, and external stakeholders to ensure workforce development curriculum align with industry certification standards. Coordinates directly with students to schedule and facilitate industry-recognized certification examinations.
Responsibilities Include:
Acts as a liaison and resource for faculty, staff, administration, and external stakeholders at NETC, DTC, and WTC regarding curriculum requirements. Coordinates needs assessment efforts, including surveys, to identify workforce training priorities. Collaborates with institutional teams to advise on and customize curriculum to meet the needs of end-users. Ensures curriculum development aligns with instructional objectives, supports each college’s strategic mission, and adheres to the policies of the South Carolina Technical College System, the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC), and relevant industry certification and credentialing standards.
Designs curriculum to align with stackable credentials, program goals, student pathways, transferability, industry certifications, and career and technical education standards. Supports faculty and staff in developing learning outcomes that reflect course and departmental objectives. Assists in the design of degrees, diplomas, certificates, and individual courses to ensure alignment with stackable credential frameworks and integration of quality Open Educational Resources (OER). Reviews curriculum proposals and provides constructive feedback to submitting faculty, academic deans, and the Curriculum Committee.
Supports curriculum development at NETC, DTC, and WTC by leveraging the NETC stackable credential model. Contributes to new program initiatives, multimodal delivery options, and program alignment efforts focused on enhancing student success. Conducts benchmark research for new program development, including feasibility studies, quality and impact assessments, sector strategies, and labor market analysis. Collaborates with internal and external subject matter experts, utilizing state and national data sources to inform strategic decision-making.
Serves as a member of the NETC Center for Teaching and Innovation, promoting high-quality, innovative, and industry-relevant instruction among full-time faculty, adjunct instructors, and Dual Enrollment educators at NETC, DTC, and WTC. Encourages the adoption of best practices and emerging technologies to enhance teaching effectiveness and student outcomes. Plans and implements professional development activities to support instructional excellence. Actively participates in task forces and contributes to educational planning events, including DACUM occupational analyses and curriculum design charrettes, to ensure academic programs remain responsive to workforce needs.
Performs additional duties as assigned.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
State Minimum Requirements:
A master’s degree in education or another directly related field and experience in curriculum development. Must have a valid driver’s license.

Knowledge of principles and procedures of curriculum development. Knowledge of developments and trends in, and theories related to, educational processes. Knowledge of methods and philosophies of education research and their application to specialized curriculum areas. Knowledge of diagnostic and evaluation methods utilized in specialized curriculum areas. Skilled in the development and preparation of instructional aids. Ability to plan, coordinate and direct programs designed to supplement and improve curricula. Ability to communicate and maintain effective working relationships with others. Ability to prepare and present reports, as well as meet time-sensitive deadlines. Ability to integrate new technology into curricula. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to develop guidelines for curriculum development and encourage participant involvement. Additional Comments
Employee will be housed in the NETC Center for Teaching and Innovation. Works closely with SCC3 employees at NETC, DTC, and WTC. In state and local travel required. Travel to Denmark Technical College and Williamsburg Technical College may be required.

NETC is a qualified employer for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program. The PSLF Program forgives the remaining balance on your Direct Loans after you have made 120 qualifying monthly payments under a qualifying repayment plan while working full-time at NETC. To qualify for PSLF, you must:
