JOB SUMMARY
Manages events at the Watt Center and is responsible for configuring, managing and debugging technology systems for educational stakeholders in our technology-rich learning environment for in-person and hybrid events and classes. Responsible for facilitating the use of Watt Center resources in curricula/events. Performs other duties as assigned.
JOB DUTIES

Client Services:
Meets with clients to schedule events, develop itineraries, identify appropriate technology/space requirements, assess level of service required, coordinate event rentals, catering, floor plan/furniture changes, parking, technical support, configure technology, media and security. Develop cost proposals for client contracts, create invoices. Provide reports on space utilization, event analytics (revenue, attendance, etc.). Identifies and implements hardware and software systems that support efficient event/classroom operations and data collection/analysis. 40%

Technology Training and Management:
Provide ongoing technology support for Watt educational stakeholders for events/classes. Configure and schedule codecs, assist users with presentation content/technology, configure necessary hardware and software systems. Actively monitors presentations and classes and makes adjustments in technology as needed. Assist faculty and users in becoming proficient with technologies available in the Watt Center. Participate in the identification, evaluation , installation and ongoing support for technology systems. 10%

Supervises and develops student interns. Creates job descriptions, reviews applicants, conducts interviews, makes hiring decisions, schedules students and evaluates performance.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree Work Experience
- 2+ years in a technology-rich environment

INFORMATION
Anticipated Hiring Range:
$24.31/hour
- $33.
47/hour Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson’s compensation guidelines.
ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL LEVEL
Normal Operations Required to follow emergency facility closure directives, and not normally expected work on-site during emergency situations.
