Job Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Dance Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for instructing students of varying ages and skill levels in a range of dance styles, fostering a love of movement, creativity, and discipline. This position requires the ability to motivate and inspire students in a safe, positive, and inclusive environment. Dance experience is preferred but not required.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging dance lessons tailored to age and ability levels. Teach various dance styles such as ballet, jazz, hip-hop, contemporary, tap, or cultural dance forms (based on expertise). Demonstrate proper technique and offer constructive feedback to students. Maintain a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment. Monitor student progress and provide guidance to help students improve. Enforce safety standards to prevent injuries and manage classroom behavior. Communicate with students, parents, and staff regarding progress, schedules, and events. Attend staff meetings, training, and school/studio functions as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

Proven experience teaching dance to children, teens, or adults. Knowledge of anatomy and injury prevention for dancers. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team. CPR/First Aid certification (or willing to certify) Background check clearance (if applicable).

Optional Skills:

Experience with performance production and choreography. Ability to teach multiple dance styles. Familiarity with music editing and studio software. Experience working with diverse student populations.

Working Conditions:

Classes held in studios Evening or weekend hours may be required depending on class schedules. Physical activity for extended periods.
