About Us Our Studio is a growing, values-driven studio committed to artistic excellence and cultural integrity. With a strong foundation in dance education and performance, we are evolving our ballet program into an Elevated-caliber experience. As part of this transformation, we are seeking a Ballet Instructor to lead our ballet division who is passionate about high quality Education and knowledgeable regarding proper age appropriate progressions. Position Overview We are looking for a seasoned ballet master or mistress with elite-level training, deep pedagogical expertise, and an inspiring presence in the studio. This individual will be responsible for building and overseeing our ballet curriculum from Pre-Professional to Beginning levels, training students for competition, auditions, and prestigious intensives, and upholding the highest standards of classical ballet instruction. We aren’t looking for someone who just knows how to dance, alternatively an expert at the transferring of knowledge. Key Responsibilities Serve as the lead ballet faculty, developing and refining a cohesive curriculum across levels. Teach advanced ballet classes, pointe, variations, and ballet technique for students. Mentor other instructors and ensure instructional consistency and quality across all ballet classes. Prepare students for auditions, intensives, and pre-professional opportunities, with an emphasis on excellence, discipline, and artistry. Direct and choreograph for ballet showcases, performances, and recitals as needed. Evaluate student progression and create pathways for advancement within the program. Cultivate a culture of respect, rigor, and inspiration within the ballet program and broader studio community. Qualifications Professional experience with a Major Ballet company, formal pedagogy certification from institutions such as ABT®, RAD, or Vaganova-based programs OR demonstrable experience successfully educating children with defensible progress. Minimum 10 years teaching experience with proven results developing pre-professional level dancers. Strong knowledge of Classical and Contemporary Ballet Repertoire. Exceptional classroom management and communication skills. Ability to work autonomously, setting the tone and standard for the entire Ballet Program. Experience choreographing and staging performance works is a plus. Passion for mentorship and community impact through dance.
