Job Summary:
La Dance Academy is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Ballet Instructor to join our talented faculty. We are looking for someone who brings a deep understanding of classical ballet technique, pedagogy, and performance, with the ability to inspire and train dancers of all ages and levels. The ideal candidate holds a degree in dance or has a minimum of 10 years of teaching experience in ballet and is passionate about fostering technical precision, discipline, and artistry in every student.
Responsibilities:
Instruct ballet classes ranging from beginner to advanced levels. Develop structured lesson plans that emphasize proper technique, alignment, terminology, and progression. Provide individualized feedback to support each student’s growth and development. Create choreography for performances, recitals, and competitions as needed. Emphasize injury prevention, strength, and flexibility in all instruction. Maintain a professional, inclusive, and encouraging classroom atmosphere. Mentor and guide dancers in their technical and artistic journeys. Collaborate with other faculty members and participate in studio events, performances, and planning sessions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Dance or equivalent professional training. Minimum of 10 years of experience teaching ballet in a studio or conservatory setting. Strong foundation in classical and contemporary ballet technique. Knowledge of anatomy, body alignment, and safe dance practices. Excellent classroom management and communication skills. Experience choreographing for stage performances and competitions is a plus. Ability to work with students of all ages in a nurturing and professional manner. Availability to teach evenings and/or weekends .
