Summer Color guard Instructor
WORKING TIMES
July 7th-July 31st 8am-12pm 4-week commitment
REMUNERATION
$40/hour to not exceed $3,200

JOB SUMMARY:
The Everett Public Schools Summer Colorguard Program will serve students in Grades 7-12, offering specialized instruction in Colorguard, Dance, and Movement. We are seeking one instructor to lead this summer program and prepare students for a performance at the end of the session.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare and teach colorguard routines, marching drill design, and choreography.
Develop and deliver a comprehensive Colorguard, Rifle, and Dance Technique curriculum.
Support students in developing performance readiness and group coordination skills.
Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Monitor attendance and participation and provide regular feedback to students.
Assist in the planning and execution of an end-of-program performance.
Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants during program hours.
Requirements
2+ years of experience teaching colorguard and/or dance technique
Strong organizational skills to plan practices, prepare materials, and coordinate performances
Knowledge of dance and colorguard pedagogy, including modern movement practices
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Prior experience in a school-based or extracurricular performance program
Experience designing or directing public performances
Dance education or performance background
Foreign language proficiency
