We are home to a dedicated Company program that trains dancers in multiple styles with high expectations for technique, discipline, and performance excellence. We are looking for experienced and inspiring Competitive Dance Instructors to join our faculty and lead our Company dancers to their next level of growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Teach and rehearse competitive Company classes in styles such as jazz, lyrical, contemporary, and/or ballet Choreograph solos, duets, and group pieces for competition season Lead cleaning rehearsals with a focus on precision, technique, and performance quality Attend and support students at competitions, including weekends Collaborate with other faculty and ownership to ensure consistency in student development and to grow and improve the program Serve as Director for our intermediate-level competitive program (position available) Create a motivating, respectful, and disciplined classroom environment
Qualifications:
Extensive training in one or more styles: jazz, ballet, contemporary, lyrical, hip-hop, or acro Minimum 3 years of teaching experience with elite or pre-professional dancers Proven experience choreographing both group and solo competition pieces Strong classroom management skills and ability to command a room with professionalism and energy Familiarity with the structure and expectations of regional and national competitions Weekend and evening availability required during competition season
