The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dance and a love for teaching students of all ages. This role involves creating engaging lesson plans, fostering a positive learning environment, and inspiring students to develop their dance skills. The Dance Instructor will work closely with students to enhance their technique, creativity, and confidence in dance. This position is for our Saturday Morning Program. These classes include tap, ballet, jazz, hip hop and tumble for ages 2-9.

Duties :

Teach a variety of dance styles, ensuring students receive well-rounded instruction. Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and growth. Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to help them improve their skills. Organize and participate in recitals, performances, and other events to showcase student achievements. Collaborate with other instructors and staff to create an enriching learning experience for all students. Maintain classroom management and ensure a safe environment for all participants. Engage with parents or guardians regarding student progress and any concerns that may arise. Qualifications Experience in teaching dance preferred. Background in childcare or special education is a plus, demonstrating an understanding of childhood development. Familiarity with theater can enhance the performance aspect of dance instruction. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff. A passion for dance and the ability to inspire others through movement. Ability to manage a classroom effectively while maintaining discipline and engagement among students.
