POSITION SUMMARY
Instructs group classes in a safe, enjoyable, and positive environment that promotes member wellness and engagement in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Attend a 2-day virtual training for PWR! Moves and successfully complete as well as other online trainings within 30-60 days of being hired. Assist with leading energizing, fun, safe, and educational group classes, as directed by the supervisor, to accomplish the YMCA mission and goals. Follows the Parkinson’s PWR! Moves exercises and cycling program format. Offer exercises suited to the population, monitors progression, and offers modifications. Responsible for knowing how to demonstrate use of all equipment provided in the cycling room and for PWR! Moves exercises. Builds effective, authentic relationships with members; helps members connect with each other and the YMCA. Keeps accurate class attendance records. Responsible for walking around and assisting with correcting form during class. Assist in maintaining equipment and informing Director of any breakage or items needing replacement. Report to work 5 minutes prior to class to prepare for class and ensure proper set up and tear down of class. Be dependable for weekly classes and responsible for covering the classes assigned to. Any substitutes should be called into their Director/Coordinator. Follows YMCA policies and procedures; responds to emergency situations.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required certifications: CPR, First Aid, AED At least 6 months of experience working in wellness field.
