Job Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and reliable Dance Instructor to join our team, specifically someone with experience working with individuals with disabilities! The ideal candidate will have a background in dance and experience working with students in various settings, including adaptive. We are wanting someone who is able to teach late afternoon-evening classes throughout the week, as well as sub any classes as needed. We are looking to offer this Instructor 4-6 classes starting in September 2025, with training and shadowing opportunities throughout the summer. As a mobile nonprofit that partners with schools, Community Centers, and YMCA’s around the Triangle, you must have a reliable mode of transportation and be willing to drive to your classes.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement dance lessons for students of all ages and skill levels
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Teach proper techniques, movements, and routines
• Provide feedback to students to help them improve their skills
• Choreograph dance routines for performances

Requirements:

• Previous experience in dance instruction or performance
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities of all ages
• Knowledge of various dance styles such as ballet, jazz, tap, or contemporary
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work with students of different ages and skill levels
• Certification in dance or related field is a plus
