Dance Instructor SC Dance Company 601 W 3rd St, Wendell, NC 27591 Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Dance Instructor to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dance and a desire to inspire and educate students of all ages. This role involves developing engaging dance curricula, teaching various dance styles, and fostering a positive learning environment. The Dance Instructor will play a crucial role in nurturing students’ love for dance while promoting physical fitness and artistic expression. Skilled in Tap dance is a plus! Duties Design and implement creative dance curricula tailored to different age groups and skill levels. Teach various dance styles, ensuring students understand techniques, rhythms, and movements. Foster a supportive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and confidence. Provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve their skills. Organize and participate in recitals, performances, and competitions as needed. Collaborate with other instructors to enhance the overall dance program. Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment conducive to learning. Engage in behavior management strategies to ensure a respectful and productive class setting. Qualifications Proven experience in dance instruction with knowledge of various dance styles. Strong skills in curriculum development to create effective lesson plans. Background in early childhood education or childcare is preferred but not mandatory. Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect with students of all ages. Ability to manage classroom dynamics effectively through behavior management techniques. Additional skills such as sewing for costume design or culinary knowledge for themed classes are considered a plus. A passion for teaching and the ability to inspire students through dance.
