Key Responsibilities:

Teaching & Class Management:

Plan and lead engaging toddler ballet/dance classes designed for ages 1-3. Introduce young dancers to basic ballet positions, rhythm, movement, and creative expression in an age-appropriate way. Foster a nurturing, fun, and encouraging classroom environment where children feel safe and confident to explore movement. Incorporate music, storytelling, and props to enhance participation and imagination. Prepare simple routines for seasonal performances or parent showcases. Promote classroom structure, listening skills, and social development through dance. Communicate regularly with parents and NVSA staff regarding student progress, class updates, and upcoming events.

Qualifications:

Previous experience teaching toddler or early childhood dance, preferably ballet-focused. Strong understanding of age-appropriate dance instruction and child development. Energetic, patient, and passionate about working with young children. Ability to maintain a playful yet structured classroom environment. Dance background in ballet or similar styles; early childhood education experience is a plus. Certification in First Aid/CPR (preferred but not required).
