Superintendent, John Sullivan Citywide High Schools Position Summary:

This is a Full-Time position with a start date of September 2nd, 2025. The work year is a ten (10) month period, September through June 26, 2026. As a part of the superintendent’s team, the superintendent or designee will be your immediate supervisor, provide day-to-day support and direction and assign a workspace in a district office; a school in the district in which you support in the district.

Eligibility Requirements:

New York City Public Schools licensed

Attendance Teacher Selection Criteria:

Ability to work with parents and chronically absent students Ability to conduct outreach visits to homes Ability to work with ATS, and Microsoft Office applications Ability to generate and use data to improve attendance in schools Ability to create attendance and intervention plans for chronically absent students

Duties/Key Responsibilities:

Conduct telephone outreach to home of absent students Make home visits as assigned in the five (5) boroughs Document all outreach as assigned, complete all program paperwork as directed including ATS entries and ILOG Work collaboratively with school staff in identifying and addressing the needs of chronically absent students Work collaboratively with central staff and identifying and addressing the needs of chronically absent students

Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 3:50 p.m., inclusive of a half hour lunch
