Dance Instructor Dance Studio Fishkill, NY 12524 Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Dance Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will inspire students of all ages through the art of dance, fostering creativity and self-expression in a supportive environment. This role requires a strong background in various dance styles, along with the ability to engage and motivate students. A commitment to nurturing talent and promoting a love for dance is essential. Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging dance curricula tailored to different age groups and skill levels. Teach various dance styles, ensuring that students learn proper techniques and choreography. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and growth. Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to help them improve their skills. Organize and participate in performances, recitals, or showcases to highlight student achievements. Collaborate with other instructors to enhance the overall dance program and share best practices. Maintain a safe and clean studio space, ensuring all equipment is in good condition. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding class schedules, events, and student progress. Requirements Proven experience in dance instruction or performance across various styles (ballet, jazz, hip-hop, etc.). Strong understanding of curriculum development tailored for different age groups, including early childhood education. Experience working with children or adults in an educational setting is preferred; special education experience is a plus. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage students effectively. Knowledge of behavior management techniques to foster a positive learning environment. Photography skills are advantageous for documenting classes and performances. A passion for teaching dance and inspiring others through movement.
