The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dance and a love for teaching, particularly to children. This role requires creativity, energy, and the ability to engage students in a fun and educational environment. The Dance Instructor will be responsible for planning and delivering dance lessons that cater to various skill levels while fostering a positive learning atmosphere. Duties Develop and implement engaging dance curriculum tailored to different age groups and skill levels. Plan and conduct dance classes, ensuring that lessons are structured and educational while allowing for creativity. Manage classroom dynamics effectively, promoting a respectful and inclusive environment for all students. Provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve their dance skills. Organize performances or showcases to highlight student progress and achievements. Collaborate with other instructors to enhance the overall dance program. Maintain a safe and clean studio environment, ensuring all equipment is in good condition. Engage with parents regarding their children’s progress and address any concerns they may have. Qualifications Experience in dance instruction, particularly with children, is highly desirable. Strong skills in classroom management to maintain order and focus during lessons. Knowledge of early childhood education principles is a plus. Ability to develop lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students. Culinary skills are beneficial for organizing themed classes or events related to dance culture. Familiarity with childhood development concepts is advantageous for understanding student needs. Previous experience working with children in various capacities (childcare, education) is preferred. A willingness to sew costumes or assist with costume preparation for performances is a plus.
