Pottery Instructor Blue Skies Pottery 933 West Lancaster Avenue, Bryn Mawr, PA 19010 Overview We’re looking for a warm, skilled, and passionate Pottery Instructor to join our team! As an instructor, you’ll lead engaging classes for students of all experience levels in a friendly, community-driven studio environment. We’re seeking someone who loves to teach, enjoys building student confidence, and brings creativity, patience, and professionalism to each class. What You’ll Do Teach beginner to intermediate pottery wheel classes (and/or handbuilding, if applicable) Offer clear demos and personalized feedback in a supportive, non-intimidating way Help students feel comfortable, confident, and creatively inspired Prepare for class by setting up materials and ensuring a smooth flow Foster a positive, inclusive, and welcoming atmosphere Communicate student progress and studio needs to management Work collaboratively with our team of instructors, studio techs, and owners Qualifications Prior teaching experience in a pottery studio or educational setting Proficiency with wheel throwing; handbuilding a plus Strong communication and classroom management skills Enthusiastic, friendly, and professional demeanor Reliable, organized, and comfortable leading a class independently Able to lift 25 lbs and help with minor studio cleanup at the end of class Weekend availability preferred Pay & Perks Starting rate: $30/hour Flexible scheduling Employee discounts on classes and studio offerings Creative, fun, and supportive work environment To Apply If you love teaching pottery and want to be part of a growing creative studio, we’d love to meet you!
