Youth Acro Instructor Position Available In Charleston, South Carolina

Youth Acro Instructor Dance Moves of Charleston Charleston, SC 29412 We’re Growing Our Team! Dance Moves of Charleston is seeking a passionate, experienced Acro Instructor to join our team of nurturing, professional educators. This role is perfect for someone who loves working with children and teens, has a strong background in acro and tumbling, and values a supportive, non-competitive dance environment.

Responsibilities:

Instruct Acro classes for dancers ages 5-teen in a safe, progressive, and engaging manner Create and implement class plans based on age and skill level Focus on strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination through foundational and advanced acro techniques Maintain a fun and structured classroom environment that promotes growth and confidence Ensure proper warm-up, spotting, and injury prevention techniques are used Communicate clearly with students and parents, offering constructive feedback and progress updates Collaborate with our team to support seasonal performances and recitals

Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years of experience teaching Acro or Tumbling to children and teens Strong understanding of safe spotting techniques and acro fundamentals (handstands, cartwheels, walkovers, aerials, etc.) Knowledge of Acrobatic Arts curriculum or similar training preferred but not required Must be reliable, professional, and enthusiastic Ability to manage a class and motivate students in a positive way Passion for creating a nurturing, empowering space for all body types and abilities
