Full Job Description Description:
Primary Focus:

Responsible for overseeing the academic program under the direction of the Principal. Ensure a sound implementation of curriculum based on data trends Promote and create staff development to improve student achievement

Data Focus:

Utilize data to inform instructional practices, monitor student progress, and drive school improvement initiatives. Collect, analyze, and interpret student achievement data (Midterms, Finals, EOCs, NWEA) Lead data meetings with teachers and departments to identify trends and instructional implications Support the development of data-driven action plans to address gaps and improve outcomes Monitor student progress toward academic goals and help teams adjust instruction accordingly Provide professional development on data literacy and effective use of formative and summative assessments Ensure data accuracy and systematically manage schoolwide data Collaborate with administration and instructional staff to align data use with school/district improvement goals

Instructional Coach Focus:

Enhance teacher effectiveness through coaching, professional development, and support in implementing best instructional practice Support select teachers through one-on-one coaching cycles, focusing on improving instructional practices (including goal setting, observation, feedback, and reflection). Model high-quality lessons and co-teach as needed to demonstrate best practices Provide targeted professional development aligned to school and district priorities Observe classrooms and provide non-evaluative feedback to support teacher growth Facilitate PLCs or curriculum department meetings to support curriculum alignment, lesson planning, and data analysis Help teachers implement evidence-based strategies for student engagement and differentiation. Stay current on instructional research and act as a resource for colleagues

Curriculum Focus:

Oversee the academic program with the Principal, ensuring high-quality instruction and curriculum alignment that promotes student achievement Oversee curriculum and instructional quality across departments or grade levels Align instructional practices with district standards and school improvement plans Monitor and improve teacher effectiveness, often through observations and coaching (formative, not evaluative) Lead professional learning communities and instructional leadership team meetings Support teacher development through feedback, coaching, and goal-setting. Monitor schoolwide academic performance data and drive academic interventions. Collaborate with the principal, assistant principal and data leads to ensure equity and instructional coherence. Prepare and present data reports to stakeholders, highlighting progress and areas needing attention
