What You’ll Do:

This position wears many hats.

You’ll:
Lead & Strategize:

Set department goals and shape the future of EMS education in collaboration with local EMS agencies, faculty, and state-level stakeholders.

Design & Deliver:

Develop curriculum and continuing education offerings, keeping them cutting-edge and compliant with accreditation standards (CAAHEP/CoAEMSP, OEMS, etc.).

Recruit & Inspire:

Build a powerhouse team of instructors, foster their development, and support student success through mentoring and academic advising.

Engage & Represent:

Partner with local high schools, EMS systems, and community organizations to drive recruitment and maintain active community ties.

Teach When Needed:

Step into the classroom or clinical site to ensure seamless instruction when necessary.

Audit & Innovate:

Ensure top-tier safety, compliance, and instructional standards, while constantly improving through feedback and data-driven assessment.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education:

Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in a related field preferred.

Experience:

At least 3 years of teaching experience at the paramedic level; supervisory and/or community college experience is a plus.

Credentials:

Must hold current NCOEMS Level II Paramedic Instructor and NCOEMS Paramedic certifications.
