ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR-FIRST YEAR PROGRAMS
to coordinate campus-wide initiatives focused on student success and persistence towards degree completion. To create initiatives and manage the UAB First Year Experience Programs (FYEP) and Students in Transition (SIT) Program to ensure new freshman and new transfer students are provided a quality, comprehensive first year experience. To create and facilitate student awareness of available support, resources and programs as well as enhancing current practices within the Academic Success Center. To provide vision, strategic direction and accountability for developing transition programs and services that support undergraduates transition and success in collaboration with other campus units. To develop, implement and monitor strategic plans for improving undergraduate retention and time-to-degree. To contribute to academic focused support services designed to enhance students academic progress. To promote retention and student success for first year and transfer students. (
Annual Salary:
$55,180 – $60,000) Qualifications Master’s degree in a related field and three (3) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
