Position Summary:

LiFT is seeking an experienced, empathetic, and visionary Assistant Director of Student Success to join our leadership team . Reporting directly to the Academy Director , this role is critical to the ongoing success of our students and school community. The Assistant Director will lead efforts to help students overcome psychological, behavioral, emotional, and social challenges that may impact their learning and well-being. Working closely with families, faculty, and staff, this leader will develop and implement comprehensive support strategies to ensure each student has the tools and environment needed to thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide leadership and support for school-wide student success initiatives, focusing on the needs of neurodiverse learners. Work closely with students, families, faculty, and staff to address and support mental, emotional, behavioral, and social challenges. Develop individualized strategies and intervention plans to promote student growth and achievement. Collaborate with academic and therapeutic staff to ensure an integrated approach to student care and support. Serve as a liaison between LiFT and external service providers, when necessary. Contribute to the development of school policies and practices that promote student wellness and long-term success. Monitor student progress and outcomes, using data and observation to inform program improvements. Lead professional development for faculty and staff related to student support, mental health awareness, and inclusive strategies.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Education, Special Education, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field. 7-9 years of relevant experience in an educational or therapeutic setting, preferably working with neurodiverse populations. Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. Demonstrated experience supporting students facing psychological and emotional challenges. Ability to build strong, trusting relationships with students, families, and colleagues.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, Psychology, or a related field. Experience in an administrative or leadership role within an educational setting. Familiarity with evidence-based practices in trauma-informed care, behavioral support, and family engagement. Why Join LiFT?
