Approx. 30 students at a time, supported by a teacher assistant About the Role We are seeking a passionate and experienced Creative Arts Instructor to lead a vibrant and engaging arts program for elementary students in grades K-5. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of talent, creativity, and classroom management skills to inspire students through various creative arts. This is a hands-on teaching position with responsibility for planning, instructing, and adapting lessons that nurture imagination, expression, and foundational arts skills. Responsibilities Plan two creative arts sessions per week, repeated twice Tues./Thurs & Wed./Fri. Develop age-appropriate lessons in visual art, music, and movement. Establish clear learning goals for each session. Modify instruction for various age and ability levels. Manage groups of approx. 30 students in a fun, safe, and structured environment. Order, prepare, and organize necessary materials and supplies. Promote creativity, confidence, and collaboration. Communicate effectively with site leadership and families, as needed. Maintain classroom cleanliness and material organization. If needed, may be asked to drive a school van to a local elementary school and transport students back to our site (with attendant). Requirements Previous experience teaching or leading creative arts activities with children (K-5). Specialty training or demonstrated expertise in art, music, and/or dance education. Strong classroom management and organizational skills. Passion for arts education and student engagement. Reliable, punctual, and enthusiastic. Preference 25 years or older
