Job Overview:
- We are seeking a passionate and dynamic After School Musical Theater Teacher to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in theater, music, and education, with a commitment to inspiring and developing the next generation of performers. This position is part-time and will involve teaching students ages in various aspects of musical theater, including acting, singing, dancing, and stage performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Curriculum Development:
- Design and implement engaging lesson plans that cover acting techniques, vocal training, movement, and performance skills.
- Integrate various musical styles and theater genres into the curriculum to broaden students’ exposure. 2.

Instruction:
- Teach musical theater classes in a fun and supportive environment, encouraging creativity and self-expression.
- Provide individual and group instruction, offering constructive feedback to help students improve their performance skills.3.

Rehearsal and Performance:
- Guide students in the rehearsal process for selected musical theater productions or showcases, ensuring they understand character development and stage presence.
- Coordinate and direct student performances, including auditions, rehearsals, and final productions. 4.

Collaboration:
- Work closely with other faculty members to integrate music, dance, and drama into a cohesive performance experience.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere, encouraging teamwork and collaboration among students. 5.

Communication:
- Maintain open communication with students and parents regarding progress, expectations, and upcoming performances.
- Organize and participate in parent meetings and community outreach events to promote the musical theater program. 6.

Professional Development:
- Stay updated on current trends in musical theater education and participate in professional development opportunities.
- Encourage students to pursue their interests in the performing arts beyond the classroom.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Music, Theater, Education, or a related field (preferred)
- Proven experience in teaching musical theater, voice, or drama to children and adolescents
- Strong vocal and performance skills, with the ability to instruct in singing and acting techniques
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Passion for fostering creativity and confidence in students.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including after school and some weekends for rehearsals and performances.
